# Export to Looker Studio

Ensure you have already created a [Data Source](/thecode4-docs/user-guide/create-data-sources/create-looker-studio-data-source.md) and successfully saved and validated your [Jira API Token](/thecode4-docs/user-guide/generate-access-tokens/create-jira-api-token.md) before you start exporting data to **Looker Studio**. These preliminary steps are crucial for a smooth and successful data export process.

#### To export your Jira data to Looker Studio, follow these steps:

1. Inside the **Data Processor for Jira** app Select the ‘**Data Sources’** section in the left-side menu, and then choose ‘**Looker Studio’** from the list.\

 **or**
On the **Home page** of the main interface, click the '**Looker Studio**' icon.
2. Find the specific **Data Source** you wish to export from the displayed list. Hover your cursor over the empty field where the link will appear, then click on the ‘**Link**’ button. You will be redirected directly to **Looker Studio**.\

At this stage, you have also the option to **edit** or **delete** the Data Source by clicking on the **three-line** button.
3. In **Looker Studio**, make sure you're **logged into** your **Google account**. If you're not, you'll need to log in first. Once you're logged in, enter the **email** associated with your **Jira Cloud** instance as the **Username**, and use your **Jira API Token** as the **Password** (for instructions on how to obtain API token, see this [page](https://thecode4.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DPFJ/pages/2195818)). Click '**Submit**'.
4. In the next window, you will see the **Data source identifier**, which should match the one in the Data Processor plugin. Then, in the drop-down list under the **Table** section, choose one of the tables you selected to export within the plugin. Click '**Connect**'.

5. After a short export period, you will see all the fields you selected for export from Jira. You are now ready to **CREATE REPORT** or **EXPLORE** the data. By default, **data freshness** is set to **12 hours**, meaning your data will be refreshed every 12 hours. However, you can also manually refresh it by clicking the appropriate button.
Please note that if the data source is large, the export might take some time. To optimize the process, apply filters and exclude unnecessary data during the data source creation stage.
